Abstract: Nowadays, there are several functional respiratory exploring techniques. Among these techniques we have the plethysmography. This latter technique allows us a simple, reliable, non invasive and continuous measurement of various physiological parameters. In this project, we presented an algorithm that exploit infrared and red PPG signals for the estimation of oxygen saturation in blood (SpO2) and also heart rate. To determine these values we have developed an effectiveness algorithm via signal processing methods, executed in a MATLAB environment.
