Abstract: The present study is a comparison between two different configurations (single stage) and (batch) of a reverse osmosis process (RO). For this purpose a RO pilot was run with different salts (NaCl, MgSO4, CaCO3) under different concentrations, with the aim to determine the characteristic of each configuration (salts rejection R, recovery Y and the minimum energy efficiency ES ) in order to find the best configuration for a brackish water reverse osmosis (RO) desalination, depending on each salt and concentrations under different operating conditions .
