Référence bibliographique:	This study aims to elucidate the aspects of the problematic related to the determinants of Algeria's budget deficit amidst oil shocks for the period 1998-2020. The study addresses the theoretical aspects and fundamental concepts of public finance and its technical organization in Algeria. Indeed, this work analyze the nature of the budget deficit in Algeria during the study period. Additionally, our study encompasses Algeria's fuel potentials and the specific factors affecting global oil price fluctuations, with a focus on analyzing the impact of oil price changes on overall economic variables in Algeria during the selected study period. Quantitatively, the focus was on measuring and analyzing the changes in the determinants of the budget deficit in Algeria amidst oil shocks during the period cited above, employing the Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) model. Ultimately, it was concluded that structural shocks to budget deficit determinants have both negative and positive effects on the general budget balance over different time horizons. Then, the intensity of these effects varies according to the severity and strength of the oil shock.
