Abstract: This resource is intended for second-year Microbial Biotechnology Master's students. It covers bioprocess engineering, bioreactor operation, and fermentation technology, introducing the basic ideas of bioengineering and industrial microorganisms. Additionally, it describes the traits, selection, enhancement, and conservation of industrial microbes, emphasizing their use in the synthesis of primary and secondary metabolites as well as other bioproducts with additional value. This handout gives students a strong foundation in contemporary industrial biotechnology and equips them for further study and professional practice by fusing theoretical ideas with practical applications.
