Abstract: In this work, we focused on the study and sizing of a hybrid agricultural microgrid to supply electricity to a farm in an isolated location in Adrar (southern Algeria). The hybrid system is composed of various components; including a photovoltaic generator, a battery storage bank, and a diesel generator to ensure continuity and stability of the generated electricity to cover the farm’s energy requirements (water pumping, greenhouse cultivation, open-field crops, and cold storage unit.) This study is conducted based on the farm’s energy requirements, the analysis of the targeted area of Adrar, to ensure a reliable, sustainable and economically viable energy solution adapted to desert climatic conditions, sizing and simulation of the photovoltaic system was done using Pvsyst, and the techno-economic optimization of the hybrid system. The main objective is to identify the optimal system configuration, reduce production costs and installation, minimize environmental impact, and improve the farm’s energy autonomy
