Abstract: This thesis presents the study and design of an intelligent speed controller for electric motors, focusing on the separately excited DC motor, the single-phase induction motor, and the three-phase induction motor. Each machine is mathematically modeled and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink under different operating conditions. Classical PI/PID controllers are first applied for speed regulation, then ANFIS-based intelligent controllers are introduced to improve performance and robustness. The results show that the ANFIS controllers provide better speed tracking, reduced overshoot, shorter settling time, and improved robustness against load and parameter variations.
