Assia Djebar : L’identité De La Création, Entre Langues Et Cultures

Abstract

Résumé : Ecrire en français, la langue de l’ennemi et en même temps, la langue de la liberté, crée pour Assia Djebar, un espace problématique. Confrontée à plusieurs limites d’origine culturelle, l’écriture subit la tension entre deux cultures : le tiraillement entre le français langue de désert émotionnel et de la modernité, et le berbère la langue maternelle de la tradition. Outre la langue, la bivalence du père marque le destin de la romancière. Le père-juste, le sauveur libère sa fille du harem en la faisant étudier. Le père-loi, malgré la modernité, s’identifie au pèreinterdit qui la protège du regard du colonisateur et qui, se faisant, prend soin de sa moralité en accord avec les règles traditionnelles de la société patriarcale arabe.
