dc.description.abstractThe effect of the thermomechanical treatments after dissolution on the microstructure and the mechanical strength of the alloy 2017 were studied. Three parameters were considered such as: deformation rate, temperature and duration of treatments and two complementary characterization techniques were used: optical microscopy and tensile tests. All the results obtained show that each of the parameters considered is of considerable effect on the microstructure and the mechanical strength of the alloy 2017, we find that the temperature increases the elasticity, the ductility and reduces the tensile strength and at the breakup.
